Richard Knight is one of the co-founders and is the K in KWA.
At the time of founding KWA Richard brought over 20 years of professional experience in the energy, commodity, and banking industries. Having spent 10 years as broker and trader in energy and commodity markets, Richard joined Openlink’s fledgling London operation in the early 2000s as a business analyst and systems consultant, eventually becoming Director of their Consulting Services Division.
During his 11 plus years with Openlink, Richard played a lead role in implementing Endur in all the major energy and commodity asset classes at a wide variety of major European institutions and trading organizations.
As a founding Director at KWA Richard had to wear many hats including sales, account and relationship management, team management and administration but his main focus now is on the professional services, delivery, and client services areas.

One of the things founding the company has reinforced to Richard is that people are our most important asset, and the key success factor is in recruitment. Our priority has always been on recruiting great people who share our passion for producing the highest quality work, and this is borne out by our clients selecting to work with us and frequently utilising our award-winning services.
During the ongoing COVID pandemic, KWA has made it a priority to stay in close contact with our clients, and we have transitioned smoothly to remotely working. In fact we have had several achievements, from continuing and successfully delivering projects remotely, to fully completing entirely new engagements on a remote basis.
As a company we have offered aide to the communities in our locales and to causes who need support in these unprecedented times.

When Richard is not busy managing KWA, he has an active family life and his hobbies include football, hiking and sampling real ales..
